Laundry Room: Before

Laundry Room: Before

I don’t know about you, but I feel like I am constantly doing laundry. And when I say constantly, I mean it. Con-stant-ly! This is even more so true since we had little Madalyn enter into our lives.

When we first moved into our home, I was excited to have our own laundry room on the first floor. I had been in different apartments and homes where I had shared laundry, or the laundry was in the basement making it seem like so much more of a chore. As I have been looking at how to improve our home and make things more organized and efficient, I was excited to do something new with the laundry room.

My first thought was that we could maybe just paint the room to liven it up a bit. Maybe we could add a new hanging rod and a new light fixture. Well, as most of the projects have gone in our home recently, once I got started my vision really changed!  I realized that this small room was going to turn into a place I could really use and actually enjoy being in. (I can almost hear my husband sigh as he realizes I’ve roped him into yet another home project!)

This is what our laundry room looked like before we began:

Stay tuned to see how this little room turns out…we aren’t quite finished with it yet, but I am excited to share with you the direction we went and hopefully give you some ideas for your own!

xo,

Abby
